Ciserra's artistic journey began in Houston, Texas in 1991, where her innate passion for creativity was evident from a young age. Her boundless curiosity and fascination with textures and materials led her to experiment with unconventional mediums, allowing her to develop a diverse skill set in textiles, carpentry, and painting.

Supported by her father, who encouraged her unconventional approach to art, Ciserra honed her skills by painting landscapes with axle grease and creating life-sized sculptures from deconstructed Super Nintendos. Her unique perspective and ability to blend various mediums earned her the reputation of a "jill of all trades" in her circles.

However, it was her discovery of mixed media that truly sparked her passion. She moved around while in school and eventually settled on the West Coast. Her mixed media background has continued to be the foundation of her artistic style, allowing her to create visually perplexing works that push the boundaries of her chosen materials.
